Whitewater Rescue Technician
WRT-PRO, 3 Days

This internationally recognized training course is aimed at raft guides and safety kayakers who have to carry out rescues in white water. For aspirant Raftguides II in Switzerland, participation in a water rescue course is compulsory and an admission requirement for the SOA exams. The WRT-PRO corresponds to one of three modules in our river rafting training concept. In an emergency, a rescuer quickly gets into challenging situations that require in-depth knowledge and tested strategies. In the course we learn the principles of rescue theory and emergency management, precise and quick risk assessments and the safe and efficient execution of rescue techniques. The course objective is the training of competent rescuers and a functioning emergency management. This course shows how a lot can be achieved with little material and develops strategies that can save lives in an emergency. The course concludes with an exam and upon successful completion with the Rescue 3 ™ Whitewater Rescue Technician (WRT) certificate (valid for 3 years). If you repeat the course, the recognition is maintained. A minimum of kayak or rafting skills are required to participate in the course. The course costs do not include transport, accommodation and food.
